Following the Impressionists tracks on the Seine river

Escape like in the good old days for a day and set off along the Seine to meet the Impressionists and Guinguettes !

Embark in the charming port of the Arsenal, then cross the heart of the City of Light.

Our guide will of course tell you the history of the most famous monuments and the prestigious bridges of the ancient Lutetia. The boat continues its descent from the Seine to the West of Paris. After having greeted the statue of liberty, past the Parc André Citroën, he left Paris to arrive in the Hauts de Seine.

The «Grand Paris» of tomorrow is then emerging with the Ile Saint Germain, where the impressive Tour des Figures de Dubuffet is erected, then the Ile Seguin, famous for its industrial past and future island of both cultures.

You will walk along the Parc de Saint Cloud, the Bois de Boulogne, cross the lock of Suresnes, see the island of Puteaux and the island of Jatte, famous in the 19th century for its many guinguettes as well as for having inspired many painters: Monet, Van Gogh, Sisley...

You will then arrive in Seine Saint-Denis, around the island Saint-Denis which was in the 19th century a place of relaxation and leisure for Parisians who came to enjoy their Sunday between swimming and guinguettes thanks to the recent railway.

Continue your descent from the river to the Port of Gennevilliers, the second European river port, then to the Argenteuil plain which was both wine and industrial, the pillars of the Eiffel Tower were built there. This part of the Seine was often painted by Gustave Caillebotte, who was also a naval architect.

You will then discover the department of Yvelines, with the Ile St Martin or the Ile Fleurie, a protected site and upstream part of the Ile de Chatou also known as the Ile des Impressionnistes, where you will find the restaurant «La Fournaise», once prized by 19th century artists, such as Manet, Maupassant and of course Renoir who immortalized this place with his famous painting: Canoe Lunch.

In the afternoon, you will return to Paris with a musician on board, who will make you dance and sing as if you were in a guinguette ...

Included in your cruise a delicious buffet meal is served to please young and old, it is composed of (as an example):

• A 6-piece aperitif cocktail per person to get to know each other
• A selection of cold salads
• Sliced beef roast
• Sliced chicken fillet
• Selected French cheeses
• Dessert pies

Red wine, still or sparkling water and coffee will be served at your discretion during the meal.

For all other drinks during the meal or outside, a bar is available on board.
